Sub connection
Hey, sorry if this isn't the correct place to ask this question.
I bought a small sub (the kind that fits under one of the front seats). I work for a pro audio company and I understand PA set ups and I could probably tell you why you get no sound from your mixing desk but I have no clue when it comes to ICE. The sub I bought has 2 x RCA input connectors but my head unit only has one RCA sub out connector. Am I meant to get an RCA Y cable that splits 1 into 2 or what?

You’d probably be best reading the instructions? The sub you’re on about must have a built in amp and I’ve never seen one of these in person but every amp I’ve used has just had 1 rca connection for a sub as it runs in mono. Why don’t you just try it and see what happens?

The only instructions are printed on the box and they are super minimal; nothing about the connecting cable. A single to double RCA Y cable is I think the best option but it seems so weird to me, my background in pro audio tells me it's wrong but I think it's the only option.

You might find one is an input from the headunit and the other is a pass through so you can link into another amp

You just connect one RCA to it, don't get some kind of double adaptor.
