I run longer front studs with 5mm spacer with r34 gtr wheels. You running coilovers?
I was fine untill I swapped out stock suspension and opened a can of worms.
That's interesting, I will be replacing my front wheel bearing soon as i got an advisory on my mot.
Where did you buy bearings from?
Its a rubbish job is removing studs and fitting new ones
5mm is fine with the standard studs
I have standard studs with Rota GTR-D 12" ET20 and 5mm spacers. At least with these wheels the lenght is good.
although not a great job to change them out but buying a full set of extended studs for £35odd and the piece of mind for me was a no brainer....
its my own opinion but 5mm of thread holding a wheel on which undergoes huge amounts of rotational forces just isnt enough, at work ive seen fixings fail under under shear stresses with similar thread depths.
Try taking one of the nuts off and putting a small screw driver from the base of the cone on the wheel and mark the top of the stud. Then measure with a tape measure to find out the length of useable stud.

Loads of people have run standard studs with 5mm slip on's before.
