    Sr20det crank pulley/chain advice

After a little advice upon rebuilding my forged sr20det i found the crank pully/ chain oil squirter in my sump and the oil way snapped ive had it welded back up but struggling to re fit the squirter, is it nessary to have? Or will the flow of oil out the oil way be enough?
If not do i need to heat it to insert it or does the oil pump cover hold it in place? Thanks in advance

The OEM chain squirter usually isn't held by the oil pump cover. If it's popped out, pop it back in with sealant or so so it doesn't pop back out with pressure. Leaving it out leaves a big hole in the oil passage and your oil pressure will drop significantly.
