Turbo blown or on way out?
Hello people I’ve recently replaced my clutch and flywheel plus the bolts and I’ve noticed that the turbo lags horrendously, I know it’s a laggy turbo anyway but it was nowhere near this bad when I first got the car.
I noticed it before my clutch started slipping, I sometimes try to force the turbo to spool up and it hardly generates any power.
Sometimes when I give it some welly it really tries to hard and ends up making like a red line noise out the back of the exhaust which doesent sound nice at all.
I have an intercooler on Japspeed and that’s about it, been fine when I first connected the intercooler up, it’s recently just started doing this!

Boost leak, MAF, plugs or coil packs are all possibilities

How would I check the coil packs for faults?

if it ain't smoking bad and it has no noticeble in/out play or excess side to side,no marks from compressor wheel touching the housing
boost leak test it ,soft aluminum pipes can wear through fast on sharp edged holes cut for the fmic pipe work,
checking couplers is tight won't cut it,need to pressure test it
trying other things before testing it could be a long waste of time
coil-packs tend to cause a rapid missfire under load when dying
mike sort of covered the basics to check before me
