The sx is in for a remap following a few issues, and due to it being SORNed and off road the Shell Vpower is about 12 months old...will this have an effect on the remap?
I assuming it's not like red wine and gets better

Petrol does degrade, that’s why you can buy petrol savers to slow down the degradation
If VPower is anything like the old optimal. Optimal was rumoured to become 95 Ron after 6 weeks

How much fuel is in the tank? Either drain it or brim it if it’s pretty empty.

You need a fresh tank mate
Thanks, that's what I feared. With car SORNed and not MOTed and at a Tuners quite far from a Shell that makes the next challenge Going to need to need some larger containers.

Drain the petrol and use it for lighting bonfires
to drain em I always just take the fuel holes off in the engine bay then attach a suitably long hose into a container/ another car then switch the ignition on and let the pump do the work.
Fuel tank has to come off for new pipes, and luckily only a 1/4 left
Will for the lawn mower ha.
