    Sorry to bump up an old thread, but would this conversion require an adapter plate for the valve cover? So that the coils can seal properly?

    I use the 1.8 turbo coil packs and I just swapped the rubber seal thing from the bottom of the standard coil packs onto them. It's been a while since I did it but I'm sure they fitted fine and I've never had any problems

    No adapter plate needed. If you fit the 1.5 short coils you can refit the cover just spaced up slightly.
