S15 hellical output shaft snap ring

Any one got any detail on the snap ring that goes on the end of the output shafts of the S15 diff? Mines in for a check over and it seems one has fell apart and the other isn't looking to handy so trying to source a pair of them so that it can go back together. I've had a quick look on FAST on line, but I think these may be inside the pumpkin as I can;t see a part listed...

I think they're the same for all R200s, but yes they're inside the pumpkin.

I've got a complete spare in the garage if you're desperate...

If they are the same for all R200 then might they be this?

Cheers lads, I had a search and found part number 38225-35F00, seems Nissan Uk have them so I ordered them, hopefully they're the right ones

Nearest I could find was a metric ring to suit a 30mm shaft, but the dims where not quite the same https://simplybearings.co.uk/shop/p7...duct_info.html

My mate from work has just measured the one that's intact and it's 2.4mm wire, 32mm OD so a bit chunkier that this one.

So the plot thickens lol. It seems that for the last 10 years or so the diff has had 2 short output shafts in it...

After getting the clips they've just realised why one may have failed because the shaft is too short to let the clip sit in the groove. So I now have the fun of trying to find one of these ****ing things, it looks like it's either...

    LH 38220-4P000 - Alternative part number 38220-4P061
    RH 38220-4P001 - Alternative part number 38220-4P060

Looking here https://nissan.7zap.com/en/jp/civili.../x2/380/#38220 it'll be the bottom one as longer goes in the crown gear side.

Other option is Nismo 1.5way, but not sure if I can put up with that on a road car?

If you go for a Nismo, make sure you get the right one and don't go through what I did.

I've got a pair of shafts on the way from Japan, like Ben mentioned above, was just hoping to find some over here tbh. I did get close to ordering the Nismo, but it;s overkill to be honest. For info...

Well that went well lol, my lack of reading properly means I got a pair from a spec S doh! Right lengths, wrong diameter! I'm guessing these are pretty useless to anyone?

Thought so, no bother as they're going back and a new set on order. Doing my part to help global warming with parcels from Japan
