    H-Dev daughterboards with base maps.

I'm looking to put a stage 1a H-Dev daughterboard into my S14a soon but before I do I want to know how good the staged base maps are, and if anyone has had any issues, or if its just worth shelling out a bit more and getting a custom map.

They're good quality robust maps for predetermined specifications. I don't recall ever reading an issue with one.

However nothing will beat a vehicle specific map.

And beware of fakes, not necessarily just H-DEV. Very easy to jot a name down on a generic board and pass it off as something it isn't.

A full tune on a stand a lone ECU is always going to be superior but the HDEV maps are really good. Ive had one in my 14a since ownership over 2 years now and cant fault it. Ive just upgraded to a Link ECU though so can sell you my HDEV board if interested or if buying new i can show you pictures of mine to help with pin soldering if you're doing it yourself.

I have a stage 1a on my 14a and had no issues what so ever. Was an auto but I done a manual conversion last year and still running the same map. 3” exhaust. apex 2 inter cooler. Walbro pump. Gizmo boost at 17psi. Apexi filter. I think h dev will fit it to your board for around £30 and test your Ecu.
