    EE Wi-Fi calling.... generic handset?

So all knowing people of the SXOC....

Does anyone know if it is possible to make a Samsung S9 bought off Amazon to use wifi calling?

I got myself a black version and it works fine with the voip calling.

But the Mrs purple one doesn't even have the option in the menu.

Both of us are on EE sim only contracts ?

Not that i care, spent 5 mins looking and then got bored and went to shoot someone in BF V

Unfortunately my house is a bit cack for ee signal, so the Wi-Fi calling is a massive plus.

She is considering a change to o2 because of it... but they're coverage is a bit cack everywhere else local.

My work phone is on o2, works in house, drops out all over the place within a couple miles... the total opposite of EE, which is solid 4g everywhere apart from our living room

It's more for receiving calls, nursery, work etc struggle to get through.

I was hoping there would be a way to "activate" it.

EE typically are less than interested as we got the handset ourselves (half the price on amazon).

When I first turned mine on it was in Italian, then rebooted as a UK build. This seems to have loaded a ee specific set of menus as it asked me my carrier when it started up.

The Mrs phone seems to be a standard UK model, just fired up and worked
