    Another how much you think it’s worth

    Hi all just wondering how much my s14a is worth??
    It’s a W reg in emerald green with 58,000 miles in excellent condition all original paint and body work never been welded and very clean underneath with mot history to back up with none of the usual corrosion advisory’s
    Bought the car last September off a chap who bought it off his brother having dry stored it for 7 years(hence the low miles)
    When I bought the car it was stage 1a minus the chip since then I have spent in the region of 4K in tuning it up to 346bhp.most parts are only 800miles old so basically run in.

    anyway I will list the mods and put some photos up and see what you guys think

    255 fuel pump
    apex adjustable coilovers 6/5 with apex rear camber arms
    Greedy spec-b profec 2 boost controller
    Act s/street clutch and act light weight flywheel
    3inch R35 maf and apexi filter
    Deatschwerks 740cc injectors
    Garrett gt2871r turbo and Horsham braided lines
    Apw manifold
    Japspeed rs turbo elbow onto japspeed 3inch exhaust system with flex pipe and back box
    Custom map and rolling roaded by Horsham developments
    Evo 8 brembo four pot front calipers ,red stuff pads on 320mm discs
    R33 gtr wheels with fallen tyres with good tread

    Got some spares like the original brakes,cat,wheels,alloys etc
    Mot till April
    Only slight negative is the gearbox has a slight whine I had garage 21(monkey London) strip the box down in June thinking input shaft bearing or clutch release bearing and he found slight pitting to forth gear and lay shaft where the car was stood and must of sweated in storage he’s dressed the gears and reassembled/all ok

    I was keeping a eye on someone that posted recently asking the same question about the value of his 200sx his was 100k had some welding work etc and was valued at 8k

    That's almost exactly what I'm looking for, albeit not Green. Looks like a lovely car. I'd give you £7,000 for that all day long.

    Thanks it is a seriously clean car and the green grows on you over time,
    paid more than £7,000 on the car before spend £4000 on it

    You are never going to recoup all your money, especially on a modded motor.

    What do you think it’s worth then as you obviously have an idea in your head as you don’t think 7-8k is enough

    Put it this way too when I’ve seen shitty drift hack s14s go for £6500 on eBay there’s a 178k mile one on there currently for £7200 and a 49k one on piston heads that’s had welding work for £10,000
    yes the cars modded and yes I won’t recoup the money spent but body wise the cars original straight and un welded(have a look at the mot history) and the price you guys are quoting now is cheaper than what you said to the previous guy who asked the same advice when he sold it last

    It's the same rule as ever, it's worth what someone will pay. It's clean and tidy and that's lovely, I hope you get good money for it. I just said to me, I'd happily pay that amount. That's all

    I do agree though, the £10k S14 customer is a very niche one. But they're probably out there.

    As above the mods mean nothing value wise, ,and sadly its in the least desirable colour of the 200's. that said green is very much making a comeback. I would standardise it as much as possible and get £2k for the mods and 7-7.5k for the car!
    It is lovely with you and a lot like the green so you could chance your arm at 10k,ignore the haters and let the market decide

    You only need two tools in life - wd-40 and duct tape. If it doesn't move and should, use the wd-40. If it shouldn't move and does, use the duct tape.

    And if you can't fix it with a hammer,you've got an electrical problem!

    I'd put it up for the top value, then let serious buyers come and see it and haggle you down on stuff they find wrong. You may find someone who wants a car with that spec but doesn't want to buy a rusty shitter that fails its first MOT on rust and costs them another couple of grand to put right.
    The only people who don't want the price of these cars to go up are the people who are looking to buy.

    Stick it up for 10.5, with a view to haggle down on the basis of the gearbox whine you mention.

    But don't advertise it here. Put it up on PH or maybe other places where you'll get better footfall.

    I'd say it's worth 9k. Green can look mean esp. with some gold or better bronze wheels. BBS could suit it to a 't'.

    Plus time of year.nif you can keep it, save it for Spring!

    The car is worth about 7-8k being a UK car (you can import a kouki Silvia for a smidge over 10k), the best advise like Paul said is strip the mods off, sell them and you'll get the money you are after - modding S bodies has very rarely added money on to them as people always want to do it their own way.

    +1 on sticking it on Pistonheads though, I had just one viewing for mine from SXOC which turned out to be a waste of time and could have sold it three times over on Pistonheads with people wanting to come and take it away even after it had gone.

    The only advice I can offer is....

    Don't ask for others to value it then argue with them.

    Don't feck about starting threads like this, just advertise it for what you want and see if anyone pays it.

    If no-one pays it, you overpriced it or got unlucky.

    As everyone else has said...

    I agree with what has already been said 8k seems about right.
    In my opinion if the car had better rear brakes, a reconditioned gearbox, better rad, decent oil cooler, strut braces and was schulzed and wax oiled it would be worth 10k.
    I'm no hater see what you get on PH.
    I got offered 10k for mine a few years ago the lad who offered me the money was unaware of the full spec he knew one of the mechanics who did a bit of work on it and just wanted the car.
    As said above its a buyers market if I was you I would put it up for what you think its worth; dont sell for any less; if none of us sold for less than that we could determine the market value ourselves especially as there are so few about if someone wants a decent one they would have to pay what we demand.
