    Back end not going out!!

As titled tried to do a u turn and wanted to get the back end out but it just gripped and didn’t kick out, sounded as if it did but nothing happened, I’ve got a new comp clutch so I don’t think it was that slipping, could it be the diff not locking or some thing??

It look like the diff is not locking in and it might be easier to Jack the rear end up and take the back plate off the diff and see if the diff not damage or anything. And when it the last time the diff change oil?

Not sure on diff oil, I’ve had the car 2 years but only ever done a few thousand miles, other than chunks of metal How will I know if the diff is knackered, saying that pulling out of turnings it gets a few meters down the road before it feels like it engages properly on normal driving?

Normally the diff should kick in if you kick the back end out hard. The only way to tell if the diff is knackered is to Jack the back end up and turn the wheel of both whels turn is working and it got lsd but if it not then you may have a non lsd diff.

I personaly didn’t like the way a welded diff made mine handle it felt like it pushed in corners and made the front feel numb I went for a Kaaz 2way and flipped a few clutch disks around so it’s at 66% lock and I love it you get a bit of popping in slow manuvers but it’s great for road use

all s14's have lsd's as standard. unless you have some poverty spec American car.
sounds like you just need to try harder.

Did the wheels even try to spin if not your clutch may be slipping either worn out or not fully engaging
If they tried to spin but can didn’t rotate your 20 year old VLSD is worn out

If neither of those two happened you just wernt trying hard enough

Not trying to teach how to suck eggs here by the way, but remember factory RWD cars aren't designed to be unstable so, providing the alignment/tyres/suspension/diff are all in good working order, expecting it to predictably drift around is unrealistic without pushing the hell out of it. If you want the car to oversteer at command, then fit an uprated diff and suspension fit for purpose - it will transform the car in the way you want then you wont have to push it.
