    Oil pressurising coolant system

Got a bit of an issue with the ca , I have oil coming out off the rad overflow. The engine is a new build with arp studs and metal head gasket. I had the head skimmed and block decked I also shortened the stud above the water pump.

I have only ran the car on tick over to check the timing and in approx 1 minute it emptied half off the sump in to the coolant system which pressurised it and forced it out off the overflow, could my oil cooler have split?thanjs nismo .

See if you get a big spirt of oil out of the cooler unit

Are you sure there was no dirt or anything on the head gasket when it went on

Thanks for the advice and info, I have found that the cooler has ruptured as I got oil coming out when I cranked the engine. It’s time for cooler delete mod.

drain your coolant out and put some fairy liquid in instead of antifreeze. then run it for a bit and drain that out.

and Flush, flush, flush & flush again.

Some people pop the stat out and rad hoses off, then run a hose through the engine for a good few minutes.

Are you sure it's shorten enough?

Sounds like it's still tightening on the thread?
