Anyone got any ideas why my stage 3a with pidgeon, is dead quiet?

I can just about hear the turbo spooling away at low revs and a very gentle flutter on lift off, at high revs it’s totally silent, it pulls nicely it’s just really quiet

Hold on! Are you saying you have no dump valve and there is no pigeon noise?

What turbo do you have? Have you got one of those fancy anti surge jobbies?

I have an Apexi filter.

As for turbo GT2871 at 1.4bar

No DV at all

That’s weird mine is louder than the exhaust and it will do it at all times light lift or heavy

Have you got a big boost leak or something

It drives so nicely and pulls hard doesn’t smoke the oil smells of oil not fuel but I haven’t checked for leaks to be honest...

Has it suddenly changed? Are you running the same boost level? Thought you’d notice a leak big enough to silence the surge but worth checking for sure. Plastic intake pipe tends to muffle the sound too.

I’ve only recently removed my SSQV (during the 2 year process of working out why the car didn’t work) but it’s done it ever since removing the SSQV.

Boost levels are the same, I have an Apex hard pipe

When you removed the SSQV, did you go back to standard or completely remove all recircing gubbins and block them ?
