Alternator issues part 2
Back ground
After the car was sitting for around a month I started it and it just started.
I notif d one of the tyres was a little on the low side so I used a cigarette lighter air compressor.
After doing this the car started to miss fire and the alternator was only giving 10v.
So I purchased a second hand working unit from slide motorsport.
Swapped this over.
Jump started the car and it charged the battery fine. 14+v
Winner.
Few days later driving to work. Car started to miss fire again. Low and behold. Alternator not charging battery again.
Am I the unluckiest man alive and it was at the end of its life or does it sound like there is an underlying issue?
If so, what kills alternators?
Cheers lads

Maybe worth checking the wiring for continuity as they could be busted

It is in standard position. It has not been relocated.

Will be getting a reconditioned one from garage d.
Think I've just been unlucky getting an old unit that has also failed.
