    What clutch?

First of all I’m sorry, I know this has been covered multiple times but all the threads I could find were bit outdated so thought I’d ask again.

I’m looking for a new clutch for my UK S14a which is currently running standard power but I want a clutch that can at least handle stage 1a power of about 290bhp, the car is used daily so ideally not after anything to aggressive.

I have heard a lot of bad things about exedy but what about RPC, ACT and Competition Clutch?

    Thank you for any help.

I've just put a stage 3 competition clutch in my s13 and in terms of drivability it's perfect for daily use. Close to OEM pressure to depress and very easy to use in general. Should hold 420ft lbs too.

Can't comment on the durability of it though as I've only just put it in.

I have an Execedy organic in mine. Feels the same as stock. Running stage 2a no problems. (300bhp and 320lbft).

Got it cheap through Mazworx on here. Might be worth checking if they still do them. It was about 8 years ago mind.

I had Exedy Organic with GT2860R turbo (maybe about 330hp) and it slipped badly.

As Lewis said, act hd organic. Best clutch I've driven on and I've had exeedy, twin plates and now a nismo. The act should handle 350+ bhp should you ever go that far to

ACT organic is what I’ve bought before and will be buying again soon, I ordered mine from FRsports, come from America but works out a little cheaper than buying from uk.

    Thanks for the replies guys.

Looking at the ACT clutches and the cheapest place I can find them is FR-Sport but I don’t know if they’re trust worthy, anyone used them before?

Also with gearbox oil I know a lot of people recommend original Nissan stuff and a part number I found was KE916-99932 which is 75w80, is this correct?

    Cheers

I bought mine from FR sport and was fine, good site and fast delivery. You will get stung with import tax, think I had to pay like £30 or something.

How much they charging? I think my input shaft bearing is whining. Not sure if I need to get it sorted though as the box works fine.[QUOTE=mattvaughan180;6812726]

My standard box worked best with gl-4 mineral oil. I used Mobil stuff. Very cheap too.

Sorry mate, that was actually Matty Vaughan who’s cars in for the gearbox bearing. I quoted it but somehow deleted the quote, ask him! You local then?
