You do not need to take any action. However, other charges may apply."

Follows the current congestion charge zone doesn't it?? So really only the very rich inner part of London is effected.

No doubt other cities will try and bring it over a much wider area covering much less affluent people

Plan for the future I believe, that map was taken from the .gov website so I assume it's correct for today at least.
Moving it out to the circulars will face stiff opposition IMO, plenty of everyday folk living there who can't afford the tax or to buy a flash new motor.

I think the man in the guided castle is forgetting that everyone in London isn't an Oligarch with billions in their back pocket.

Was on the Westfield forum and it seems q plate westfield s are exempt. Don't quote me on that. And a Westfield commute in the middle of winter, well the fun would wear of sharpish.

It's not Central London that's being proposed. It's practically Essex where it's going to end up. That is to say barely ten miles inside the M25.

If you live in Wanstead and have a car you drive out to Chigwell to work, you're ****ed.

Yep it's a huge area and will encompass plenty of people on low-average income who just can't afford to lash out 30 grand or more on a new motor.

Stupid thing is by the time it's due to come in the vast majority of diesels still on the road will be Euro 5, the difference between Euro 5 and 6 is pretty minimal.

Simple answer to all this, dont live in london.
Come on up to Scotland, we are a friendly bunch up here usually. Dont bother with the central belt cos its full of puffs, south/borders is cool and the norths fine but cold.

Plus we have this thing call air, which is comprised of mainly nitrogen, oxygen and some minor other gasses.
Unlike London which has smog comprised of 90% soot and 10% shite

How long before you all get a ULEZ tho, just because Sturgeon doesn't wanna be out-done by the English on anything.

That stupid cow can impose all the crap emission shite she wants, i will be paying absolutely no heed of it.
90% of scotlands emissions could be reduced if the SNP and there followers would learn to stfu and yap a little less.

    It's in the post.

Note where the data collection sensors were placed. Right by the station. That is to say right by the idling diesel trains and taxis.

    Clever. Very clever.
