350mm sports cat - where to buy?

My current 350mm 3" high flow cat appears to have shat itself, the material inside has become detached and is rattling around.

I had a quick search on ebay / google but seem to be struggling to find one that isn't 315mm.

    Anyone got any ideas?

Why not get one made up and you can use a decent car element like magnaflow ect

I've not done one. My 'project' spans over 15 years, nobody would follow it for that long!

Might get some recent pics this summer and post up current spec

No wonder I couldn’t find it then. Wanted to know about your engine spec.

    87mm makes 2.1L :P

edit: longer crank changes everything of course...

91mm stroker crank, so technically just under 2.2l

A bit of digging has found the CAT036M

    http://www.eurosportexhausts.co.uk/c...onverters.html

Length looks good at 360mm, just needs trimming down a bit and 2 flanges welding on. Waiting on a price now...

I have been intending to get a sports cat made up for my car and have just been speaking to powerflow in Brighton, they have advised me the 200 cell sports cat's are unlikely to pass an MOT?

They have advised me to either do what I already do and swap my cat in and out for MOT's or to get a cat made up via them which would be 400 cell and would cost approx. £250 fitted.

Anyone have experience running a sports cat? Do they pass MOT's?

Mine does, no problems. 200 cell magnaflow with PSM flex cobra downpipe and Apex twin exit.

I did think a number of people ran them successfully, but I couldn't really argue with the guy as they offer MOT's at their garage so he was speaking from experience.

All I used to do Ben, was buy 315mm ones and add a 30mm 3" section in them

I've given up on this, I'm just about to order a S14 one with turbo elbow and and downpipe from Japspeed.

I'm unsure what to do now, not sure why they chap thinks the 200 cell isn't good enough to pass mots, what would be the point of them otherwise?
