oil cooler help
I am trying to figure out my options for the oil cooler/ sandwich plate..
the current setup I have goes from engine, to housing, to cooler, back to engine... this is no good as my oil does not get warm enough so I need to have a thermostat housing.
so, the current remote housing I have, will a sandwich plate on that going to the cooler work? (I have done a diagram)

I’ve got one of the relocation plates to move the filter with a plate that removes the factory oil cooler/warmer and a mocal in-line thermostat all done in 5/8” or 16mm hose with the push lock hose tails
Works fine apart from the oil takes longer to warm up by a small amount as the thermostat still circulates some oil through the cooler even at cold

Your options are fit an inline thermo or a thermo sandwich plate and filter blanking cap. I'd probably go with the inline for system simplicity. I've run with multiple sandwich plates for years without issue though so it's a viable option just not necessarily the neatest.
