    Pens. The writing type

There has been a few threads on luxury items. Watch one comes to mind. I have 2 Omegas, a Rip Curl Tidemaster, a Rotary Chronograph, an original Seiko Kinetic Titanium and a "Classic" Swatch "The Beep"

The other luxury item is a decent Pen. I have 3. Waterman 2000 Ball Point, bought in 2000 still writes well on the original refill. Because I am so impressed, recently purchased another 2 Watermans, Rollerball and a Fountain. Got J Herbin Ink to go in the Fountain. It makes my appalling handwriting look good, which is good because I have started writing cards and letters again.

I fancy another and started looking at Mont Blanc. Also found my old Shaefer and PArker that I had at school, but they are nowhere near as good as the Watermans.

So, Pen guys. What do you have? There is another Watch thread

Only pen I have is Rotring Renaissance Fountain pen, it’s years old with an 18ct gold nib.

I actually bought it because at one point in my life I studied Calligraphy, but now prefer a fine bic ball pen and to be fair I barely write anything these days.

    lol.

I had two Watermans and both broke within weeks so stick to Parkers now.

I only use ballpoints but my daughter uses cheap ink pens. They are cheap ones because she usually loses them within 4-6 weeks and the money comes from the Bank of Dad.

i like the ones that when you turn them upside down the womans clothes disappear. but for writing i find the red Bic biro to flow nicer than the rest of the colours.

The red BICs are definitely the best for angry-crossing-out and sign-off missives like "2/10 SEE ME !"

...and I had one of those nudey pens when I was a kid. She was in a one-piece swimsuit and wearing a sailor's cap at a jaunty angle

OMG ! You can buy them today on ebay ! 3-50 for 5 lol

Oh and well done in descending the thread from serious quality pen discussion to nakedness in less than 10 posts

    Old Skool SXOC right there

SXOC dirtyness would have to be a stripped down CR having a new crank installed.

    Back on thread

I have the Waterman Hemisphere Fountain and Rollerball and 2000 limited edition ballpoint which I bought in 2000 and still writes flawlessly on the original refill.

Admittedly I don't write that much, but typically lesser pens dry out .

I know it's not the purpose of the thread, but the current batch of SXOC pens are actually bloody good.

The batch purchased in January2015 is still on the go , and while they look the same as the previous batch, the current ones are much hardier, feel nice, write nicely, don't rattle, don't snap the trim rings if overtightened, and last for ages.
I've had two on my desk at work, and only reading this thread has made me realise they've been there for three years already. Regularly stolen/borrowed by other people too, but identifiable by me as mine and recovered later.
Even the logo printing is still intact. This is quality gear.

I still have a hundred or so in my house, as they're normally only sent to new SXOC members.

I didn't even get a credit card membership card this year. Just a sticker

Send us one, I have just renewed.

When I am writing Letters or cards to the Missus (She likes them) I use the Waterman Fountain. If I write cards for anyone else, Waterman rollerball. Ballpoint just for signing agreements ( I don't want it to run out now, it has lasted this long)
