    750hp bolt on turbo...

    Found this the other day:

    https://www.atpturbo.com/mm5/merchan..._Code=GG2-3076

Full size Gen 2 GTX3076R with an internally wastegated .86 T25 housing, straight bolt on 750hp capable upgrade...

I imaging it would boost creep like an absolute bastard, but still interesting as a bolt on option!

I clicked the link and can't see it claiming 750hp anywhere? just the specs,, that's a huge number from a fairly small unit imo

    Headline figure from Garrett:

    https://www.turbobygarrett.com/turbo...tx3076r-gen-ii

Obviously it's a bit optimistic, but for comparison my Gen 1 GTX3071R makes over 520hp on an SR22, so not far from the quoted 560...

Some guys ran a hypothetical comparison when Gen 2 came out, obviously it varies between turbo's but it seemed then you got about 10% more from the Gen 2 than the Gen 1.

750hp Sr20 sounds interesting. wonder what you would have to rev it to.

How straight bolt on is straight bolt on? Surely it would still need to be top mounted etc?

A GT30 turbine sits low mount just about I think. Tight though.

Literally a straight bolt on for the standard style manifold and elbow. Might need to trim a bit of engine mount for clearance.

I used to run similar sized GT2835R and GT3076R on a low mount.

That's crazy. Surely it's going to struggle with creep being internally gated?

It nice with bolt on parts but got no idea why ppl would by turbos like this.
Sure you wont even be close to flowing 750 hp on a t25 flange.

plenty of space on the sr20det.
Couple of weeks ago i low mounted an efr 8374(gt40 size turbo) on the OEM manifold.
Engine mount needs to be redone, nothing major.

I couldn't see a pic of the 'gate design but must be a better flowing design so it vents enough exhaust more like an external ?

thought the exhaust housing would be a twin scroll as well,or did I miss something there

I think the SR has more room than the CA, taller block or just more space on that side for a Bigger blower?,
my old Disco potato with 0.86 a/r housing needed chunks cut out of engine bracket to clear on a stock position tubular manifold
could be a good future upgrade after seeing the numbers, might take some work to fit it down mount on a CA though

im confident that the CA and SR turbo placement is exactly the same. as im sure that when I blew my CA up and fitted the same turbo to my SR that I didn't re-do my intercooler pipework. (I have custom pipework)

im 99% sure The rubber s14 SR engine mounts are a different height to s13 CA ones (I can never remember which is higher though)
