The gt86 also had a crap interior for a 28k car, it also felt slower than the other two cars - not helped by the torque hole.
The 5 was obviously the worst for practicality but had the other two cuffed on driver enjoyment and interior. It was also as quick as the ST and was as well equipped - hence now owning one.

Might try the civic type R, the new one is better than last years chavved up to 11 design.
New Fiesta is much better inside

All cars have, its the weak pound

Mustang was £29k in 2015, its now £36k...........

The first gen F20 cars are 306hp, the LCI (facelift) ones are 320hp. Regardless, a quick remap takes them to 360-370hp and then with a decat and remap its 400+

What!? The current and past gen CTR's have been awful to look at. The new one with its awful hatch design and 3 exhausts looks worse then the FK one. (2015-2017)

Meant even at launch. I thought it was supposed to compete with junior hot hatches like Clios and Fiestas where the compromises weren't so exaggerated as against something like a Focus ST or Golf GTI.

I think they probably would do in Japan, but the Yen : GBP conversion has been terrible since 2008.

Doesn't also help that all the 90s Japanese performance stuff is climbing. JapaneseUsedCars contacted me after seeing my car on Ebay to say that a car in my condition is now 1M Yen... that is a £11,500 car landed, before MOT and Tax! The market is going crazy, I have been tempted to keep the chaser as all it's going to do is climb in value at this time, unless the Japanese market crashes.

Really, I always thought all the M135i's even from 2012 onwards were 320bhp, never knew that they were 306. EVO quotes them as 320bhp. Yes had heard a FMIC, downpipe and remap could make 400bhp plus and 440 torques

Partially helped by alot of the 2000's stuff being kinda bland and boring, a few exceptions obviously but alot of companies stopped making properly interesting stuff.

So true we have been through a very boring period full of TDi's.

I love a quick TDi as a daily hack, great mileage and they storm down the motorway at a fine pace.

but I just don't think people are going to yearn after an Ibiza FR or Golf GTD in 10 years time.

At the current rate, they'll be taxed off the road by then.

Yeah the old Civic was god awful and hit by the chavvy stick constantly throughout birth, the new one is (to me) slightly less but still pretty bad - it redeems itself with its performance though... a little.

We will have to see how the new ST will go, its a 3cly aint it? Big opertunity for Ford to make it a lightweight monster but i suspect they will ruin it with 150 kilos of worthless shite that some marketing penis thinks is worth it (like 18"+ wheels or something)

Yea the new ST will be a 1.5 3-cylinder turbo, seems to have all the standard Fiesta kit so it's probably no lightweight special.

Optional LSD tho which is pretty cool.

Kerbweight of the Fiesta is a tad under 1200kg and its 200bhp so expect standard S14 performance.

LSD and Launch control an option and will be around £20k

ok I got the cubic capacity wrong and was leaning towards you have the better engine,
this shows with a sectioned cut RS block what I reffered to regards the block design and lack of bore support https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CuGodKdRLpE

then you have the fact that s13's are actually lethal/comedy handling wise compared to modern stuff that people are used too, that's why they get crashed weeks after being bought by kids who are 'used to fast carz mate' had a gttdi golf innit.

but yeah, id have a kouki type X that did modern day MPG figures for £23k.. well as long as it didn't have a comedy spec Ariel.

im actually half car shopping at the moment and there is nothing that I actually like.
Given that the car only exists as a figment of my imagination all those problems are easily solved
