    Exhaust recommendations for noise

Hey Guys, i have a few trackdays this year and i think the Blitz Nur spec will not get passed the noise regs, even with a Silenced Decat. I do not want to put the baffle in as i dont want to sacrifice exhaust flow.

Im looking for a new exhaust that will get past the Regs (about 98Dbs). Currently looking at a HKS Hi Power but im looking at all options, any other recommendations? Or anyone selling a exhaust?

    Cheers.

I run a Blitz Nur spec R exhaust on my track s14a with a regular decat and it usually makes 97/98 decibels when tested on track days. Have you tested the noise level yours currently makes?

I havent tested it myself as the best equipment i have would be a cheap iphone app. Do you run it with the Bung in? I have a Silenced Decat i'm going to throw in it but i assumed it would be far too loud.

quietest ive ever had is the nismo S15 one.
HKS was pretty quiet as was my apexi noir.

I found the blitz to be mega loud.

ive got a toyosport china rubbish one atm and its 102 (ish) at 5k rpm.

you could buy a decat silencer and pop that on. make a removeable bit that fastens to the tailpipe to point the floor helps. as does packing with wire wool.

fitting the bung into your blitz will give massive back pressure.

Yeah thats exactly why i dont want to put the bung in. Ill put my silenced Decat in and give it a test, if not i will look into getting a HKS.

I run mine without the bung in. Most tracks get you to rev it to 4750-5k rpm, at that without the bung running 3" elbow downpipe an decat I make 97-98 decibels. But that is on the stock exhaust manifold and turbo.

Oh ok, not had any problems with noise meters on track? I’m running the same setup so i may get away with it aswell, I throw in the Silenced decat anyway just to be sure.

No problems with the drive by noise meters either. I usually take the bung with me incase they tell me it's too loud but haven't had any issues yet. I have done Snetterton, brands and lydden since fitting the Nur spec. It's probably worth either fitting the decat silencer or just taking the bung with you on track days incase they fail you.
