evening all,
I have asked on the relevant owners club and searched to no avail, so I turn to the all knowing SXOC to see if any of you have the answer...
walked past my Fireblade last night (on the drive until garage is built ) and spotted the HISS light is stuck on....
usually it flashes - but at the moment it is on with a very slight brighter flash in time with when it would flash from off when all is well.
it still starts, runs and all other electrics are fine, just this annoying red light.
since I moved into the current house it has had to be kept on the driveway, but usually under a breathable, good quality bike cover..... that was until last week when the high winds shredded the cover over the rearset and other sharp bits, making it ineffective. I have decided it was doing more harm than good rubbing the bodywork, so the bike has been uncovered, and will be until the time I get chance to clean it properly and purchase a new cover.
I can only assume that some damp/water has got into the back of the clocks and is somehow shorting the light, but does anyone have any other suggestions? I can see that when the season is upon me again having a bright red light in the middle of the clocks is going to be very off putting.
thanks in advance
