I’ve started to remove my canister and this connection snapped as I removed it, what is it and is it vital?

Fuel tank breather?

Basically you only need to loop the 2 hard pipes coming in to it together, other than that the rest is removed

Just trying to figure wether the little plastic hard pipe goes to anywhere or if it’s nothing as it’s snapped

Should look like that when you’re done, the other is just a breather pipe and not needed
