These are mine. Cars not done many miles and been dry stored most of their life.

They were coated in copper grease so look worse due to that.

not sure but I am fairly sure I saw somewhere that Apex have committed to providing aftersales support for these.

the older versions didn't come with any rust prevention, newer versions have coatings.

I going to get some covers for my new ones I think.

Copper grease hasn't saved them from having a broken spring. Fairly sure that would make them clunk.

Fiesta MK VI and BMW are notorious for breaking springs. Mate had his Fiesta front offside spring go and I found about 30 pictures of the exact same break and it's always the offside. Guy at work had a spring fail on brand new BMW Z4 the first time he drove into work over a speed cushion. I cycle a 6 mile route to/from swimming pool and see lots of tail ends from broken springs in the gutters. But the zenith of spare parts found on road is the backing plate of a disc brake pad, seen more than one on the road in town and even found one on works car park (I sneaked it in to the display of scrap parts, jet engine blades and cut up discs).

This was the offside front now you mention it

I was going at low speed and heard a clunk then it was in contact with the wheel !!
