Manual conversion - won't start - 30A ignition fuse keeps blowing

Hi guys just carried out a manual swap on my s14. Have removed the auto box harness only leaving the speed sensor connected to the manual box.

The neutral position and reverse sensors have not been connected.

Only the inhibitor switch on the loom has been jumpered.

Now when I go to start the car when going to turn the ignition the car blows the 30A ignition fuse in the engine fusebox.

    Any ideas?

You will have a live wire earthing out somewhere to blow that fuse. Make sure all you wireing is the correct way around, live for live neg for neg, or cheat by replaceing that fuse for a thick slice of metal and watch for the smoke of a wire fire to rise from somewhere

Wiring to the starter motor might be wrong? Have you earthed the start signal wire maybe?

    Thanks for the input guys.

After checking all the wiring it turned out that whilst tippingb the engine back to get the gearbox on the ignition coil loom got snagged on the firewall causing the earth.

Insulated the wire and taped up the loom, replaced the fuse and it started okay.
