    S14a seat base problem

Random problem. The seat base (horizontal bit you sit on) of my 14a touring leather drivers seat has inexplicably gone rock hard. Cue the jokes.....No give in it at all. But rather than given out and collapsed it is stuck sprung up . Coilovers and Durham roads a park bench comfort level is now a character feature of the old girl

Has anyone had this problem, or got a fix (or a none touring/cloth seat) for it?

    TIA

Have you cleaned and feed the leather ? Also have you checked there is nothing jammed under the seat from to the rear ?

Yeah definitely nothing fouling first thing I checked was the kids hadn't chucked something under there. The leather is 120k beaten up. Barely any strength left in it so I dont think it's a feeding issue.

Ok. It's just that 14a leather is supposed to be very soft and supple. If it's gone hard and cracked, it won't have any give in it so it will feel hard. I recently took a 13 seat apart and the foam is surprisingly stiff.

Well couple of weeks later and having spent some time massaging my interior with leather nourishing wipes. It's slightly improved but still a massive difference in comfort level between the drivers and passengers bum cheeks
