The SXOC produces a calendar every year, featuring pics of members' cars, this year we are starting this early to allow us to get a good variety of pictures and this year we are going to get the 2018 calendars to you in time for pre-christmas delivery.
There have been lots of very cool UK SX photos popping up this year and with some great events in the summer calendar too I hope to get a very good entry for the competition over the next month
On the first of November, the suitable entries are narrowed down to 12 months, voted by the SXOC staff members. SXOC staff members range from hardcore drifters, to resident clean freak and all round good guy, PDH14A, and everyone in between, so there are all sorts of possible images that could work really well as a calendar pic.
Hints:
- Choose a good location
- Lots of pics entered are of a static car: Many look good, but movement works better. Give it a wiggle and have a pal take the pic
- Clean the car
-Organise a photo meet or run out in your local section for some group shots
Please Note
-Only landscape orientation works
-Entries must be available as files of more than 2500 pixels on the long edge. Please bear in mind that the calendar is A4 format, so none of your square Instagrammy stuff please
Entries must be an S-Body belonging to an SXOC Member or the photo photographer is a SXOC Member and all images must be in High Resolution, don't save it off social media as we can't enter it . The photo must have been taken in 2017.
Closing date for entries is 9pm 29th of October 2017.
E-mail your entries to media@sxoc.com putting SXOC 2017 Calendar Comp and your username in the subject. Also please note who the member is and who took the photo.
Any photos of your car that you did not take must have permission from the photographer for use and this must also be noted on the email you send. If this is a professional photo of your car obtain written permission from the photographer for us to use it, get a watermark free copy of the file to the above specs and ask them how they would like crediting on the calendar.
Good luck everybody
