    Car won't start

    I've recently put all the mods for stage 3a in my car and started it and it ran for a couple seconds then died, it just cranks now and that's it, the check engine light is flashing also, I've called h Dec and had the bats removed however it's still having the same problem, I will call them Monday but trying to see if anyone has any ideas

    Check to see if you've got spark? Fuel to the rail? Fuel pump priming?

    I can hear the pump, I've disconnected the hose going from fuel filter to rail and it had fuel, I've tested new plugs and different coilpack and even leads but no spark

    Then the issue shouldn't be nats as it should stop all of them. Have you checked all the silly things? Fuses? Earths etc

    I've checked things like fuel pump fuse, earth for maf and all the connection but all looks in order

    They were all second hand parts, it ran for like 5 seconds then cut out and crank, so all the parts should be working okay

    And I've fitted a garret gt2871r, I starred the car and it ran like that, then I installed nismo 555 injectors and stage 3a ecu and started it and it ran for a couple of seconds then wired in the z32 maf and now only cranks

    I'd say then it's something to do with that maf or the wiring

    You fitted a stage 3a chip to your ECU or replaced it with a completely different one? If you replaced it the immobiliser will be kicking in.

    edit: ah first post, assume bats=nats, so ignore me.

    It's an ecu I bought second hand with the chip already installed

    Could just be flooded, take the plugs out and pull the pump fuse, crank for 10 secs then stick it back together.

    I've taken the fuse out and cranked it for 10 seconds but no different

    Right so you fitted the injectors and chip but started it up on the old AFM first?

    This is 100% nats... all the symptoms add up, starts and runs for 5 seconds then shuts off, engine light flashing etc

    But he said he's had nats removed and also he's got fuel to the rail, nats should stop pump etc
