    S14a SR20DET Running Issues

Hello Everybody its been a while since I have posted as life has been pretty hectic and the Nissan has been tucked up in the garage for much too long!

I really would like to get it sorted so looking for advice...

The car ran fine, but was mapped very poorly.
I took it off the road changed the manifold, turbo, downpipe and boot pipes with the intention of getting it mapped once back together

Put it all back together and since then it hasn't run right and I don't want to take it for mapping when there are problems.

It has a very rough idle, it sits at around 2k and drops every so often and misfires
if left to idle till warm the idle eventually drops to 1k but still misfires occasionally
    It is running extremely rich
When driving it is okay under light load and off boost
When it is loaded and boost comes in it is like hitting a wall

What I have done so far:
    Changed the plugs
    Cleaned all electrical connectors
    Cleaned AFM
    Cleaned ICV
Checked for boost leaks, although I think a pressure test may be better

    Any ideas?

    Sounds like a massive leak.

Mine would run high idle when I forgot to put back on the intercooler boost take off. Under the ic pipework.
Plugs will be black as fook..
I'd maybe pressure test the intercooler and make sure there are no leaks.

Also fuel. Have you put new fuel in it?

Ill have another check of the pipework and pressure test it all see if I can find anything

    I hadn't even considered fuel!

This may be an issue, the wire snapped from my knock sensor and has been repaired, it may need a better job doing!

Yeah it's looking like it could be a couple of things.
I've had it all in bits so could be leaking from anywhere haha

Bit if a thread revival but thought I would update with the small amount of progress...

So I stripped off all the intercooler and associated pipework from turbo to inlet
    Removed the inlet manifold

And found one of the bolts to be stripped that holds the 2 halves of the inlet manifold together leaving swarf between the two parts so possibly causing it not to seal
So I fully stripped it got the thread drilled out and helicoiled and bought all new gaskets which are now ready to be refitted

Whilst there I noticed a small black wire with a ring crimp floating about near the starter motor so reattached that

I also pressure tested the intercooler which held 2bar

So it all needs cleaning and 're assembling now so I can test to see if it works again!
