    Green s14 zenki project!!

So I thought I'd start a project thread for the 14 as I've almost had it 2 years now 😂
It's lime green but a nice colour I think,
Basically stage 1a so 280hp ish

Here's a picture of shortly after I bought it.
    https://i.imgur.com/UQNJjjS.jpg

In true a body fashion the first thing I did was.....
    Fix it
    https://i.imgur.com/https://i.imgur....om/xyLczOK.jpg

As you can see, the fanny mould snapped clean off because it was a cheap eBay special (made of genuine chinesium no doubt)

I repaired that but have had ongoing issues since so it's now got a standard cast manifold on it.

The first mod I did was buy some wheels
    Cosmis xt206r's in black chrome
    18x9.5et11 with a 15mm spacer
18x11 et8 (turns out they don't fit under standard rolled arches &#128580
    https://i.imgur.com/00tJcp8.jpg
So I drove round with standard rear wheels on for ages.

The outside of the car hasn't changed too much yet, I plan on getting na an skirts and spats and going for a relatively clean low look.

I ended up swapping the cosmis for Rota Kyushas and cash my way.
    https://i.imgur.com/JSTIRLD.jpg

I then swapped those for some xxr's (looked shit really)

Around this time last year I was driving to a friends house and the clutch pedal went to the floor, I thought it was slave/master related so I replaced both and bled it about 600 times with rich (pointz)
Still no clutch at all, it didn't slip or anything so it seemed weird!!
We thought the clutch fork could be ****ed so we took the box off and something was wrong straight away!!
    https://i.imgur.com/LNz1xrO.jpg
Lots of muff attached to my pressure plate!!
Turns out what happened wasn't good!!
    https://i.imgur.com/NkK7PK5.jpg
Basically my stage 2 rpc clutch had shat itself. I replaced with a stage 1 exedy clutch as I was recommended one and I didn't want a paddle clutch to annoy myself in traffic https://i.imgur.com/ikXvGhA.jpg

The car now has a corbeau drivers bucket with a driftworks super low rail, I like this seat a lot, it's maybe a bit firm on long journeys. Stuck a slam box wheel in as my old momo was ****ed.
    https://i.imgur.com/SXgtfSH.jpg
I want a decent nardi now though tbh.

    Got some white rota grids

    Gayeee

    https://i.imgur.com/IfWerxz.jpg

I then bought some drifworks cs2's as my old monopros had seen better days
They're very good and I'd recommend them tbh.

    Doge

Went to the wheel alignment centre in southampton and got the car set up much better!!

Ready for track time at jdm Combe
    https://i.imgur.com/TkgpfsD.jpg

So the thread is basically up to date, I have re fitted zenki rear lights and fitted a number plate tilt bracket. I will update as I go along really. I plan on fitting a t28r and a proper exit at some point, also as I meant jones skirts and a few bits to make it have all the jdm points. Overall it's pretty tidy and I plan on keeping it that way. Thanks for reading if anyone read more than 3 lines of this!!
Any feedback is appreciated (except rich saying sr20's are gay 😂&#128514

For some reason the images don't show, you'll have to click on them. Can't use photo bucket anymore as they want to charge money for 3rd party hosting now
If there's a better way of posting pictures let me know

Seen the car at a few meets and shows here and there, looks awesome!

To get Flickr images in, get the photo open and click the arrow in the bottom right corner to share the photo. Once that pop's up, select 'BBCode' and then choose your size from the drop down and the link will be there ready to be copy and pasted straight into here.

If you open a photo through your camera roll on Flickr you won't see the share button and need to click 'View on photo page' in the bottom right corner then you will be in the right place.

For Imgur, copy the direct link to the image which you will see when you open your photo up. Then paste it into here and stick '[img]' before the link and '[/img]' after the link. Example - [img]memes.jpg[/img]

The pictures work on tapatalk rich, strange, oh well I'll use this from now on as it seems much easier.

Car should be off the road for winter for a few rust repairs and maybe subframe bushes etc.

Got myself some 3 piece ssr koenigs, the fitment isn't very good but I plan on getting wider lips asap, I do have all 4 but only got decent tyres on 2 currently.

The car will be coming off the road for winter for a good clean down and fixing stuff. Also hope to get skirts, spats and wheels sorted over winter!!

Not made any progress recently, actually the car has gone backwards, I moved house so finally have a garage to store the car and can do work on it without dying in the cold!! However, the car didn't get touched for about 3-4 months and when I started it a few weeks back it had developed a worrying rattle at around 3000rpm :/
I showed the video to a few people and they all agreed that it was probably the bottom end chattering. So me and a mate spent a couple of days tearing the engine out and inspected the damage. Bearing no.3 has basically worn through to the backing and was very close to either completely shattering or maybe spinning etc.
As the engine hasn't ever been opened until and has done 158k I'm not too surprised, the crank however doesn't look damaged so I will be getting it measured and polished.
I'm also going to get a new oil pump, head gasket, piston rings and obviously new bolts and a timing kit. If I can afford to do a fair few upgrades I will as I have a t28r that needs a rebuild lying around and stuff.

So, hopefully I can get it back together with few as possible issues and the car should be better than ever!! Doesn't look like I'll be driving it in 2018 though

Just thought I'd do a small update, the car now has a less ****ed sr20 (hopefully) installed, it's got a new competition clutch stage 4 6 paddle clutch with lightened flywheel, japspeed manifold-the thicker apparently half decent one. Updated the cooling system with a fenix radiator and twin fans-wired into the original factory loom for the front fogs. T28r etc. Might eventually get some better injectors but ideally I'd want to go for full standalone I just don't have the funds currently.
It basically needs the oil I've just bought changing in, starter motor connected and it should be good for a test fire up. The only small issue is all the rust I've found, however me and a friend (who is a welder) are going to get cracking on that in the next week.
The plan is to get it mot'd and on the road before June!!
