Rushing for Rockingham - is this the correct part?

    Hi all,

I've replaced the noisy vvt sprocket, and also got the newer solenoid to replace that.

The profile seems slightly different on them, obviously the shiny one is the new one

Can anyone confirm this is the right upgrade solenoid as it does look a little different to the older one?

    Thanks.

I am presuming you took out the old s14 one and are putting in a brand new one. The new ones are the s15 style revised design. It's meant to be better so don't worry and stick it in the hole

Great thanks, going on now, sprocket already on.

Aircon radiator on, so that's just brake fluid, diff oil, regas and MOT and we are ready for Rockingham

    FRsport.com

I went and picked it up from them in Huntingdon Beach in LA, was equivalent of about £90, but they post for not much more and mark it up best as possible to avoid duty.

Did 30 miles in the sx tonight, we are getting there

Passed MOT today, tester was so busy looking at a few beers someone had left on the floor he might have got the wrong exhaust

    Just needs

new westco as battery holds bugger all charge
    washer off rocker cover bolt
    brake fluid change
    fmic cold pipe jubilee clip
    aircon gas
