Running with no power steering temp

Hi guys just a quick one. I'm due on track on the 24th of July and there is quite a lot to be done to the s13 for it to be ready. One of these is custom power steering lines being made up and I don't think they are going to be done in time.

So the question: can I run the car as non power steering just to be able to have this outing in it. And what would be involved?

    Thanks mike

I don't think ps racks do well running without a pump hooked up. From what I remember people saying, it's just really heavy all the time and not enjoyable at all

I dont mind the steering being heavy. I just wouldn't want to damage the rack as that would be silly lol

Having forgotten to tension the power steering belt I can tell you that you won't be doing a track day without power steering.

Not without removing all the seals from the rack to remove the drag.

When mine packed up a while ago having broken power steering was way way heavier than a non power steering car
