New turbo
Hiya all found my issue to be waste gate stuck partially open and letting all my boost out most of my boost till about 4 k revs then I'm getting lots of boost and lots of hesitation low down in revs like the car is holding back... but the new turbo the actuator is plumbed into the housing so do I just t off that into the boost solenoid?

You should tee the wastegate from the manifold. The reason being that you won't be accounting for any pressure loss caused by the intercooler so the controller will control to a fixed pressure at the compressor cover while the manifold pressure drops by some amount as airflow (engine speed) increases.
If there is a fitting on the compressor cover just bung that up and tee a feed from the manifold.

Ahh okay thanks for the reply I'm having such a nightmare with this car I'm starting to think 2500 was money not well spent for a preface lift s14

They're all the same. Mine is fine for months, then 3 or 4 things come at once. Once you sort the initial probs it'll be fine.

Yea hopefully mate because l love the car I think I'll just buy a new turbo and hopefully that will sort it

What turbo are you getting. Can you fix yours?

I isn't know yet been told I need a t28 turbo... and on mine I think the waste gate weld has snapped hence why boost is coming on hard after 4k revs but you can hear it spooling up much lower in the rev band

They aren't sold as T28s any more unless you're buying second hand, you'll want a GT2560r which is the ball bearing version, Garrett don't offer the journal bearing version any more.

Ahh thanks mate I'm really loving the help people on here give for a newbie to these cars thanks for the help first in going to see if it is defo that weld broken because it dies still sound like it's building up boost just not much and certainly holding back alot before 4k revs

I would make sure it is the turbo. It's a lot of effort and there are extra costs that add up. If it turns out to be something else.

I'm trying to find out what else it could be mate it's had full-service all vac lines are new it's got a front mount I've checked all hoses new hks dump valve no error codes she idles spot on starts first time and if I don't go full throttle she drives mint but soon as I put foot down she holds rite back on me like something is pulling the car backwards

It doesn't sound like turbo to me mate. It's more like maf or coil packs.

Yea I'm thinking I'll unplug the maf see if she changes at all because I'm looking at the revs atm and she feels like she's misfiring

So I unplugged the maf and idle was still the same but I couldn't rev the car so I'm guessing the maf is okay

But since I plumbed the Westgate into the intercooler pipping it feels so under powered

That doesn't mean your maf is ok.
If it was plumbed in the way you say then you will have less power now.

Yea but I got miss fire and it's like it's holding back very stranger on boost its also mis firing really bad but I just spotted this on the 02 sensor

The wires are bare going to the o2 sensor could this be a cause of miss fire and low power
