Get a cambelt kit and new waterpump while you're at ot and do it yourself! As long as you have some spanner skills you will be fine.

There is a guide in the sticky threads section i believe!

Hardest part is removing the crank pulley!

You will need a STRONG impact gun and 27mm socket for the crank pulley, it's an absolute bitch to get off. Just did my water pump.

Apart from that, its a pretty straight forward job to do yourself, shouldn't take any more than 4 hours even if you haven't done it before

Don't forget to put engine at TDC on cylinder 1 before you begin, otherwise itll be a headache. Don't be like me lol

That didn't actually work for me, I used a breaker bar PLUS a metal bar on it as extension with the car in 5th and a friend pushing the brakes as hard as possible with the handbrake on to no avail.

Only thing that let me get it off was a snap on impact

Buy a Gates cambelt kit. High quality, reasonable cost, includes tensioners and fitted to most cas by now.

PM AlanJuggler. He's Bolton/Manchester and I'd trust his advice.

He'll probably offer to help you do it yourself though

Breaker bar on the big nut, brace the bar against the inner wing.
    Flick the starter motor.

    Job jobbed.

    Try looking for GATES 5269XS.
It suits ca18det and some AUDI engine.
