    Any CA18DET guru's?

    Hi people

My s13 is a G reg two tone pignose

Did the earlier CA18DET's come without a knock sensor? As I've checked my loom and there doesn't seem to be a plug for it but it turns out that the engine that's in the car isn't the original and has the knock sensor in the block so i'm guessing it has had an engine change in it's time which could possibly be a newer CA18DET

I've tried to look online but can not find anything so i'm hoping someone can shine some light on this for me

    Thanks in advance

    Caine

My G reg two tone's original engine has a knock sensor. The plug for it is on the alternator loom not the main engine loom.

As it is an utter PITA to unplug it often gets cut to remove engine. Wire is co-ax, the det sensor in on the middle conductor and loss of outer shield for last 6in is not an issue. I ran with plain wire in a screw terminal connector on it for 10 years.
