    Coilovers/ Spring rates BC

So I'm looking to purchase coilovers the Bc Br series to be exact but unsure of what spring rates to go for , it's more of a fast road car/ sometimes Daily . I'm thinking either the 5/4 or 6/5

Does anybody have these coilovers by any chance?

    Cheers

I've got bc's on my 13, the mid range ones with 8/7 springs, I speed them up a notch from what recommended. Haven't made it to a track yet but when there's not potholes everywhere they feel amazing, realistically they're too stiff for the road.

Sweet man thanks, think I'm going for the 6/5 kg as I don't want them too soft I suppose

Same , comfies are 5/4 and plenty stiff enough , lovely on the open road , hate them around town.

You're probably best to phone them direct. Peoples opinion will differ. One persons hard is another persons soft, ooh ah!? For a road car I'd say don't go too hard. You can usually swap out the springs for the next ones up if you do fancy going stiffer in the future. If you want to go low fit adjustable alignment arms. To cure body roll fit some uprated ARB's. To cure the floaty rear end fit polybushes in the subframe. To cure that soggy steering feel fit poly rack bushes. To make the biggest difference get it corrected and setup at a wheel alignment specialist. And so on

Edit: BC are a good choice. I have their ER series fitted to mine and they're great. Had Apex Gen II's before that were also pretty decent. Were still going strong 5+ years later when I sold them on to someone else. With both sets of springs, I believe

Yeah I've heard mixed views some say 5/4 are too soft and some say they're perfect , so suppose it's preference.

Yeah i was thinking having 5/4 with upgraded arms and arbs etc to stiffen the chassis up instead rather than stiff suspension

I did speak to one supplier and he said it may not be as noticeable between the 5/4 and 6/5 as they're both classed under comfort , I thought if I get he 6/5 and just have the dampers set to softer it'll be better whilst running low than the softer spring ?
