78 Records
A bit random, but if you had a bunch of 20s and 30s era 78s, and you couldn't bring yourself to just put them in a skip, how would you go about finding them a new home that would appreciate them?

I would start by logging into ebay.....

I thought that - but I was thinking something a little more specialist might be better, if anything exists. Also posting them would be an exercise in sheer chance, I expect half of them would shatter before arrival

Some of them might be quite rare though and ebay would be a good place to advertise, of course you would have to ship them safely - knowing our postal service you would have to use a nuclear containment vessel to transport them intact.

Try your local record fairs.
If not try some actual record stores (yes, they still exist) -

Ive been thinking about this recently. Tempted to sell my old records but the postage is the thing that puts me off. Likely to be worth a few quid too.

78s are pre vinyl. 20s and 30s stuff will play on old record players but were designed for gramophones. It's a good job there are a few auld buffers on here who remember 78s. Some of them may have value even if they won't play. Some are collectable for their label or cover.
