As the title says, thinking of getting either monopros or cs2's.
My question is, are the cs2's worth the extra money??

What are you planning on using the car for?
Use mainly on the road plus a couple of track days really.
Hsd monopros no complaints here. Get the right spring rate and your be right
As you're probably aware both are similar designs made by HSD.
The main differences that the CS2 has over the mono pro are:
Slimmer design for greater wheel/chassis clearance.
SlightlyrReinforced design for added strength.
Helper springs. Apparently the springs are seated on roller bearings..
Stiffer spring rates CS2: 9/7 vs mono pro 7/5 although I believe you can request different rates for both.
Castor adjustable front top mounts,
Rear topmounts are pillowball instead of rubber.
Basically the CS2 is made for more track focused cars but will more than deal with daily driving, you'll probably just receive more feedback through the chassis.
If you aren't massively into geo settings and adjusting your car for a more track focused setup I'd probably go mono pro. They've been designed with daily driving and track days in mind. That being said, I've personally never been in a car with mono pros but I have CS2s that are waiting to be fitted. I was in the market for either of your choices and the CS2 came up first and at a good price. People seem to rate them pretty well so should be interesting to see how they compare to the Cusco shocks I have on it now. Plenty of reviews and opinions out there on the mono pros, generally 99% of it good
Don't get me wrong Both are similar designs,
Have you considered the Yellowspeed Racing coilovers?

Matt, What's the availability on spares/ rebuilds?
I'm currently leaning towards some cs2's . Will get softer springs than the 9/7 though as it's a road car. Want these to clear my wheels a bit better than my current hsd's
Hi again guys, ordered some cs2's
Will do a review of how they feel compared to my current old coilovers
Thanks for the info and advice
Brilliant stuff dude, hope they work out well. What spring rates did you go with?
Just the standard 9/7's dude. If they're a bit too hard I can always soften the dampeners a tad for the road. Should be fine though I think. Just stickier tyres needed for the trackday now!!
