    Duxford Spring car show 30/04/2017

    30/04/2017

We have had a strong turn out with a good variety of cars to show the ever increasing diversity of the club in previous years, so lets make this years more of the same please

For more info on Duxford, Check out their website http://duxford.iwm.org.uk/ It's a fantastic day out for the whole family

Pricing is £12.60 per adult and £6.30 for children which you pay on the gate. The ticket for this event includes entry to all the museum areas as well, so you'll get all of Duxford's normal attractions PLUS a car show! What more could you want?

We have been allocated a 20 car stand. All cars are welcome along as this is not a Japanese only show, 200SX's will be given priority, but providing your car isn't a shed, you'll be welcomed onto the stand.

A quick shot from our stand a few years back

You can have as many passengers as you like,
You must have membership at the time of the event to qualify for the club stand.
    So who's in?

The entry price is the standard fee. Due to logistics and how much this show actually costs us it's not easy or possible to offer a club discount I'm afraid.

I'll be getting there for about 9 ish but all cars need to be in and parked by 10am

It is members only I'm afraid. If your friend wants to join up and pay a membership fee he's more than welcome to come on the stand, but he may not be at the front as that's reserved for sx's

    IMPORTANT INFORMATION

I've just had an email with the show layout and a couple of rules.

Those that have been to this show before will see that we're not in the usual spot this year. We now have our own little patch at the bottom of the hill outside the main entrance for the American Air Museum which is a great spot!

Please take a moment to familiarise yourselves with the map and housekeeping details.

This could be an ideal time so start looking at convoys if anyone is interested?

I'm happy to meet people at Thetford McDonalds at 8am on the day (I will be in the Volvo).

Cant see the Porsche or Mustang clubs there ? That will be a shame. Nice spot though.

Might be an idea to get some s-bodies lined up with the American hanger in the background for a calendar shot

    Good shout.

I don't think ES Vectra or pistonheads will get many visitors

Sounds very late. I would say you need to leave Birchanger about 8.30 otherwise you end up in the 20min holding pen with all the other lazy fooks

Haha ah my bad, when Mr Nicholas invited me along I didn't realise it was membership dependent! Assumed his subsequent poke to renew was separate. What's the cost these days? Feel free to PM to save cluttering the thread.
