    Symptoms of a broken maf

Hi guys, while cleaning my MAF I managed to touch one of the wires. I did this as part of changing my alternator belt at the same time. I now have savage misfire at anything other than idle.

I have checked for boost leaks and all seems in order, no holes in wmic and other pipework all OK.

Could a damaged afm cause this issue? I have another one on the way to test this but just wondering if the Maf could cause misfire at anything other than idle (car is undriveable due to this)

I have tried running with no Maf connected but still get the same issues.

I will report back when Maf is changed for a known working item.

Would it cause the engine to run that bad though? I literally cannot raise the revs above idle without misfire....
