My good condition standard clutch started slipping the day that I upped the power and I then fitted an organic. Daily, track days and a few trips to the Ring and back and it has never slipped or given trouble. It's the same one in the car for the last 7 years as well. So I can't knock them.

I was probably a bit harsh. Mine did 5k miles at 240bhp and about 500 miles at 320bhp. Didn't like the peddle weight either.
The act felt standard and did 10k at 20bhp/ft lbs over its rating.

Whatever you end up buying avoid eBay - so many fake clutches on there. Buy from a reputable trader. If you want a clutch that's gonna last and be up to the job then it's a no-brainier, save up some more money! It's a pretty easy job on these cars but still not a job you want to be doing twice.

I have had an ACT heavy duty organic in my SR for well over 7 years. No issues what so ever and didn't break the bank IIRC. I am running at around 280.

Also paddle ones are much harder on the gearbox which is already a weak link

Yeah mine was £400 about 7 years ago. Surprised they haven't gone up in price.
