Not too much progress, Steve is flat out making all the sills people have been ordering!
I have got a few more pictures to add though. This will fit behind the bumper fine - even fits behind a standard bumper. Saves jacking on the diff when need to lift the rear. And it looks good
(this was made up on the donor half cut as we know that one is straight)

Bash bar looks awesome. Made one myself.

Looks good. Does it serve a purpose other than to jack easier?

I would guess if you're a drifter it makes it harder to smash in the back of the car, so it stays the right shape for longer?
This one won't be a drifter :-)
Looks good, Jack point, and if someone was to ram it from behind they'd come off worse haha

Really like these crash bar ideas someone just tagged me today in my work van if it was my car I'd still be kicking her
Give Driftfab a hit on facebook for any bash bar questions

Had a big parcel turn up the end of last week!
Kouki Spoiler from Marek Byba @ Byba Kits. Can't fault the packaging, so much bubble wrap, spoiler was tied to the box so it couldn't move around, it even survived being delivered by Yodel undamaged!
It does need some work making it smooth and to the standard I'd want it to be at.
Bodykit, wings, and overfenders are being delivered today and tomorrow ready for Steve to get the final bits done!

Small update, bodykit and wings/fenders have arrived! Going down to see them tonight, but Steve seems impressed with the quality of them.
I've gone for Aerokit Spec D1 front bumper, rear bumper, and sideskirts. And SRB rear +50mm overfenders, and +45mm front vented wings.
Steve has them taped in place so they get their shape back.
And a picture to show the reason why progress has been slow lately - he's got a full workshop, too many builds and not enough time! Hoping to crack on with mine towards the end of the month, and the plan is to go to the bodyshop in the first half of April all being well.

Top work mate!
I spoke with Steve last week as I managed to be squeezed onto his cutting list for a set of sills!
Mine is also in the shop but not drilling down to bare chassis!
What size tubing are people using on the bash bars ?
The fabrication
BTW, did the engine you bought at the beginning come from an auto? If so that's why the pilot bush was different

The engine I brought to replace the shagged one was definately from a manual - we pulled the box off the engine with the guy when I picked it up!
Work should be starting again towards the end of the month
Been to see the kit and it looks good - only thing to fix is the exhaust cut out in the back bumper. How they got it that far from straight I don't know

Amazing read! Mine suffered awfully with rust too. But the fab work here looks awesome! When you hoping to have it finished?
Thanks for saving another mate! Mine has recently gone through something similar at the hands of a pro, (I'd struggle to create a pointy point on a pencil using a pencil sharpener) as it had achieved perhaps 75% of your shell's Emmental impersonation , sans accy damage, just in the time it's sat waiting on mechanical Stig to do his bit. Not a cheap hobby is it...
