How longs a piece of string?

    FB_IMG_1724423601419

This is the 16x9 -4 wheels on standard rear axle/driveshafts. If i had the standard front and rear setups my wheels would stick about 37mm further out, front about 28/29mm further out. Fortunately, and just to make things easier the front setup has been adapted to run boxter brembos (still need to squeeze a 13 front subframe and power steering in) and the rear is an ovlov 960 turbo setup - the rear hub face sitting almost in line with the arch. The time will depend on how much work will be need to make the wheels fit

Mechanically everything is there or planned already, body work its all there or done already, I have the interior which will need some fiddling. I just need to reaquaint myself with the long list of misc bits I will need as well

Decided the best way forwards with the electrics was a new loom rather than fcuking around with the nearly 60yr old original bastardised loom

    New loom

    Loom from https://www.autosparks.co.uk/

Even have full central locking system including boot release from https://www.ilmotorsport.de/ which will marry up perfectly with the Cobra Cat1 alarm/immob this is getting.

Just need to source a decent sound system now.

Nice to see this moving forward.
    Was the loom reasonable?

Loom is the deluxe kit car loom with added radio wiring, just shy of £300 which I thought reasonable. Saves days of messing around more importantly.

Bargain, I’d hate to think what’ll cost with the 200 loom

Can use the same loom, will just need minor adaptation to account for electronic gubbins to be added on.

makes sense to buy an already built loom, when i rewired mine i used a prebuilt kit car fuseboard that you then had to run all your own wires and it was a right pain.

    whole car looks nice.
