Importing RPS13 Type X Torque GT

Hi, I'm looking at importing a RSP13 Type X. I've been looking at different importers and speaking to them. I'm looking at going with 'Torque GT' has anyone got any info on them? Good or bad stories?

    Thanks

Don't think I've ever heard a bad review to be honest. I got my S15 from them back in late 2011, absolutely no problems.

Good luck on the import, lovely cars - however be aware that the Yen is the strongest it's been for some time, so expect to pay a lot of money for a Type X.

I was looking for one before I got my PS13, and we were talking £7/8K last year which will probably have increased now.

That's great thank you, any advice on importing in general? It'll be first time. I've got a nice 11K budget, looking for something stock, clean and low milage. Also, any advice on the best insurance companies for imports and mods?

£11k budget, I'd be looking for an S15 in this country. At least you can go look at it.

You'll have no trouble with that budget.
Only advice is don't rush into the first car they put forward, make sure it ticks all your boxes.

As for insurance, various companies these days who specialise in imports. Luck of the draw who is best for you though so worth ringing all of them to see what they can do, even ones that use the same underwriters can offer different deals.

I've always loved the RPS13's especially the Type X's, I've wanted one for as long as I can remember and finally got the money for one. Plus most S15's here have been too fiddled for my liking or they're around the 12-13k for an aero.

I'm biased but yea i agree!

TorqueGT tend to me a tad more money for their cars, but they don't buy shitters, and their price usually includes a full service with belts if due, undersealing and aftermarket alarm fitting ready to drive away where as other companies just give you the car and job done.

I used Torque GT to import my S15 4 years ago, and I'm using them again currently to import a Forester STI which is on its way. So yeah, they are a good choice with a great service provided.
