I have decided it would be fun to drive a car with tweed seats, wind up windows and a choke (!) And a big clock where you would normally find a rev counter for winter.
This is my pointless purchase of a minty fresh 205 1.4 XR and I love it. Few things to sort but nothing major just need to ditch the horrible incorrect wheel trims and number plates for a kickoff.
Why? not sure. Getting very rare, and the "cooking" models even more so as the spotlight is firmly on the GTIs, also my mate had 1.4 XR when we were 17 and it was the fastest thing to 30mph ever* it also is also very basic and lets be honest. I really like crap old cars.
Do do list is looking short.
Rear washer jet fix
Remove immobilizer
Engine mount
Cambelt and water pump
Put in anti freeze ( mix looks weak )
Handbrake adjustment and cables
Period radio
Wheel trims
Floor mats
Once that is done it really is time warp.
*probably not the fastest thing ever to 30mph
