    S14 sr oily smell

Oily smell when on boost , am I right in thinking it could be oil seals on the turbo
Also sometimes take a fair few seconds to fire up , doesn't matter weather hot or cold
    Any help would be appreciated

    Have you compression tested it?

Leaking turbo seals would not make the car difficult to start.

Split crank case breathe pipe somewhere would stink and make it hard to start

Can you smell it in the cabin or engine bay? Daft question I know but I had an oily smell in the cabin and it turned out to be a torn rubber boot over the gear stick leaking oil. Might be worth checking?
