    wiring
    intake pipework/system
    coolant system/hoses
    flywheel and clutch
    fuel system

anything that's different will need money spending to change/ modify it.

could still easily cost you a grand to chuck an rb20 in

    You would need.
200 in service bits (fluids and what not)
    Cross member
    Custom prop
    Exhaust fab
Loom modifications to get it running
    A speedo corrector
    New rad hoses
New rad but a ca can work
Fans electric slim or rad hackery
New earth's as they are always ripped off
    New hoses for fuel lines
Cross member for gearbox is a fun one
Tap set for fixing ripped threads
    Arb may need modified mounts
The heater matrix will need adapting to have heat
Power steering lines I had a custom hose made up because of my manifold.

Aircon if you want that to work will need adapting.

Then you need to get it through an mot.
Then after all that you have an NA RB20.

The easy swap of an RB25 is taking me months as I need a road car that passes emissions and justify the time effort plus melt downs.
If I was better on the tools it could be done quicker but i need to take my time so and spend the money and effort making sure I have a reliable daily.
I also need to pass strenuous emissions testing and engineering checks for safety.

if someone says "oh it's easy to swap to an xyz' their bullshiting you. it will always cost alot more than you think, there will always be things that are a bitch to get right.

I can remove a ca and fit a new one up and running in about 4-5hours. an engine swap? gimme a week or two to do it properly. that's IF YOU had everything and all the right funds.

depends who says it. and if the are credible, or if they are trying to sell an rb20E as a viable engine swap for ermm anything..

I found that an rb20E auto struggled to do a burn out in the dry on 205 width tyres.

The last swap I did was ca to sr20. the CA was out in about 2 hours. and as usual we needed to make hits up and obvious do all the wiring etc for the SR. think it took us about 5 evenings (5-10) and 2 weekend days.

    I wouldn't worry about it

I picked up a CA still attached to the gearbox in the back of a 306, just about fitted lol.
