First casualty. The dipshit agency lorry driver has managed to smash the pass. side rear light as well as the yard owners monster forklift. PRICK

I managed to appease my rage by buying stuff only to realise that certain parts needed to complete the look are rarer than rocking horse poop

Anger has returned and above mentioned agency driver ****er is going to be forking out for a new rear light unit and bulbs

Started collecting various refurb and modding parts already. Got myself a mk2 jetta front grill as I think the square headlights suit the boxy styling of the car better and some uprated bushes for the bits that will remain of the front suspension.

The vw heritage site and my wallet are going to take a battering!

Bloke over the road from me has just bought a 17000 mile 1600GL Auto for £2200. Its mint! Think it took him 2 hours to polish one panel!

    £2200

Prices seem to be rising slightly. Cant believe I got this for what I did. Could easily shift it for £800 with just a new battery and tyre!

More pics of the red turd from where it currently sits

The rusty metal in the engine bay is going to be making way for the engine swap, the rear subframe etc will also be making way as will the fuel tank to be replaced with a mk3 tank and internal pump (hopefully also from the donor). Boot floor is also disappearing for the works to be hopefully replaced with a new part.

That will take care of 95% of the rust, the rest will be sorted as work progresses.

When Dal has finished cheating on me with his side bitch and clears enough space in the workshop things can actually start to happen.

That's going to give me a couple of months to keep sussing out how this is going to work and buy more parts - wheels, Brakes, suspension repair and refurb parts

Said twatish lorry driver also shoved the rear bumper but not fussed about that as I'm going big bumper anyway so bought the required bracketry earlier

Its going to take a while to start as the M is getting some attention first - replacing big end bearings and a vanos refresh/overhaul. When that's done I should have nearly finished (wishful thinking) collecting parts for the red turd
