    fault codes 36 and 12

I am having some issues with my s14a. After the diagnostic i have two codes 12 and 36.

    12- Air flow meter
    36- EGR

I have swapped Airflow meters and the same problem has occurred, check the voltages at the plug they all with in spec. Cleaned the AFM but still same issue.
EGR not sure if it will cause the issue I will block the EGR to eliminate the problem.

The problem I have is the car feels flat till about 3k RPM. Does not misfire or hold back while driving. Been searching about problems but can't find the solution.

Has anybody came across this problem before ?

    Thanks

Well seeing as it's an s14a it doesn't have an egr valve if I'm correct, that was only on early s14's.... So it's got to be Maf related, or possibly the knock sensor/wiring as I have read that can throw up Maf error codes

Learn something new everyday lol, seeing as the op hasn't stayed in assuming it's a manual. But it may have had an engine swap I suppose.

Yee I learnt that the hard way when mine cracked the trip home after buying it! Easier to repair than the turbo gasket going though!

I will check again for boost leak and replace cracked vacuum lines if there are any, i will also fit a boost gauge to see the pressures. I do have another lambda sensor so i may just swap over for piece of mind.

Checked the knock sensor voltage drops at higher rpm so it is working.

Is it running stock boost? If not what are you using to control it?
